Functional Breath Coaching

Mouth breathing is a syndrome of modern society. Our ancestors were in fact nose breathers.

Over-breathing causes the narrowing of airways, limiting the body's ability to oxygenate. The constriction of blood vessels, leads to reduced blood flow to the heart, organs, and muscles.

Breath coaching and is one of the most popular therapies for asthma, allergies, digestive issues, sleep apnoea, cavities and gum disease, crooked teeth and behavioural issues such as ADD and ADHD, stress and anxiety.

Bypassing the nasal passage means that a host of biological and physiological processes do not happen. The air we breathe needs to be filtered by our nose so toxins do not enter the body. When we mouth breathe, this leads to inflammation, swollen adenoids and tonsils.

Mouth breathing and hyperventilation is linked to chronic over-breathing. This leads to various health issues including low carbon dioxide levels in your blood. Low carbon dioxide causes symptoms such as dizziness and tiredness. The goal of breath re-training is to normalise your breathing pattern so you can regain your health and live your best life.

“Chronic over-breathing contributes to anxiety, asthma, fatigue, insomnia, heart problems, and even obesity. How we breathe literally affects every aspect of our health”
